Ballymacash Rangers Ladies was co-founded in 2018 and has grown into a club driven by a passionate committee of volunteers — many of whom are also playing members. Balancing full-time jobs, training, and the demands of running a club meant that finding a smarter way to manage finances and administration wasn’t just helpful — it was essential. TeamFeePay has given the club the clarity, stability, and breathing room they need to plan not just for this season, but for the future.
Before TeamFeePay, managing club finances meant monthly sessions with Excel spreadsheets, manually tracking standing orders and direct debits coming into the bank. Chasing payments, organising training, and managing consents and safeguarding paperwork all added to the administrative burden on a committee of volunteers already juggling full-time jobs and playing commitments. Communication was handled through WhatsApp groups, with polls and messages creating significant admin overhead for managers. Consent forms were paper-based, meaning safeguarding information, medical consents, and emergency contact details weren’t always readily accessible when they were needed most.
At the end of 2023, Ballymacash Rangers Ladies made the decision to join TeamFeePay, having heard positive feedback from their youth academy who had been using the platform for several years. Following a strong onboarding session and a follow-up meeting at the club with their TeamFeePay Account Manager Jim, committee members including the club treasurer and team managers got to grips with everything the platform could offer.
Payment collection became automated, giving the treasurer real-time visibility over cash flow and the ability to project finances months ahead. Consents — including social media and medical consent — were moved entirely onto the platform, meaning managers could check eligibility, pull up emergency contacts, and confirm consent to treat injured players directly from their phone on the pitch. Safeguarding for under-18 players was built into the process, with parents registered as the primary contact rather than the players themselves. Training organisation, player eligibility, and lineup selection also moved into the app, freeing managers to focus on coaching rather than administration.
The impact has been felt across every area of the club. Cash flow is no longer a month-to-month concern — the club now has the financial visibility to plan a full season ahead, and beyond.
For managers, the day-to-day has been transformed. Safeguarding is built into the process, consents are stored and accessible at all times, and the WhatsApp admin overhead is gone. In Thomas’ own words: “My time is now focused on training.”
The verdict from the club is clear. As Jodie summarises: “There’s so much you can do with it — fundraising, collecting dues, organising training. I’d say just give them a bell, go ahead, and get TeamFeePay.”
Liverpool FA oversees one of the country’s most active grassroots football communities, supporting 470 clubs, 3,400 teams, and over 33,000 players across the county. TeamFeePay has become a key partner in that mission — giving clubs the tools to manage their finances, administration, and compliance in one place, and freeing up the volunteers who make grassroots football possible.

For years, collecting and reconciling payments meant a monthly ritual of bank statements, handwritten checklists, and chasing parents for missing subs.
